Inflate the sleeping pad you plan to use, then wrap the straps around it roughly where your shoulders and hips sit. Lie down on the pad inside your quilt and fine-tune each strap until it lines up with the quilt clips — the result is a quilt that stays put when the temperature drops and you want to seal out drafts. Keep them on the pad between trips, or stow them in a small parts bag such as our 0.3L Drawstring Stuff Sack.
